Plants and gardening have been my passion and calling for over 27 years, with my first paid gardening work for family and neighbours at the age of 15. I have worked as a tree surgeon, soft landscaper, hard landscaper with design, a general gardener in all types of domestic gardens and in commercial settings, estate gardener, head gardener, plant specialist, horticultural manager, garden centre duty manager, regional horticultural trouble-shooter (garden centres), garden & DIY centre manager, retail plant buyer, trade only plant seller, nurseryman, online plant sales administrator, neuro-diverse gardening instructor, an instructor at a dementia garden club, a gardening class instructor at garden centre venues, association chairman and chief horticultural expert.
I currently work as a freelance horticultural instructor and consultant, this work includes a reviewer role for Horticulture Magazine: Dan Ori MCIHort | Horticulture Magazine; I am also the Director of a gardening community interest company called GIA CIC.
